Mahjong Maple is a highly challenging Mahjong game that you can play using only your Facebook account. It doesn’t even require a prior in-game purchase. It’s for free! All you have to do is to click on Play Now on the game’s Facebook App page, and you’re good to go.
After doing so, you’ll be greeted by a very simple intro screen. There’s a button intended for people who is playing a Mahjong game for the first time. This is because Mahjong Maple connects the two tiles by a line before removing them from the board entirely. So, looking over the board, you must learn to visualize a line between the two tiles. If there are tiles standing between then, then you could consider that pair as obstructed and cannot be matched.
Thus, your strategy must be focused on removing obstructions between all tiles so that you can rapidly make matches.
Looking at the bottom of the game screen, you can find a time gauge that is rapidly winding down. Once this gauge is empty, the game is over and you’ll have to try again. However, if you make matches quickly, the gauge is quickly refilled as well.
Overall, the goal is simply to survive as many levels as you can. Each level may appear to look the same as the other, but they are totally different. Each level has different degrees of difficulty so there should be no monotony when playing this game.
There are four power-ups that you can use. The Bomb, for starters, will remove a pair of tiles that you select. A Clock will put in additional time to your remaining time. Shuffle and Undo lets you rearrange the layout and go back one step in your moves, respectively.
